THE RANGER DIFFERENCE:

The Arizona Ranger program adheres strictly to the philosophy of giving each player on our teams as much playing time as possible. We recognize that high school basketball players, regardless of their skill level, need game time to improve their skills under pressure. Watching from the bench can't accomplish that.

That's what sets the Ranger program apart from many other clubs. In addition to a strong emphasis on the fundamentals, we offer game time, not bench time.

Our program is designed for the serious athlete who is interested in playing college basketball, or just being the best player she can be throughout her high school career. The Ranger coaching staff is all-volunteer, all with years of high school coaching/playing experience. As non-paid volunteers, they give their time to the program because they have a commitment to the players and the game.

As players progress through the age levels, we begin to add additional exposure to college coaches by scheduling tournaments out-of-state at those events likely to have a good attendance of college recruiters. The older teams also receive coaching that places an increased emphasis on learning the college game.

THE RANGER MISSION:

The goals of the Arizona Rangers girls basketball club are three-fold;

1. To teach the skills and fundamentals of the game 2. To play every girl that suits up 3. To encourage the athlete to do her best in all aspects of the game and return to her high school team as an improved player

As we teach the skills, we recognize that mistakes are a part of learning. But we work with the individual, through positive coaching, to overcome those mistakes and go on to expand their knowledge of the game.

The Rangers adhere to the ROOTT philosophy, wherein our players are taught to show respect for: Rules, Opponents, Officials, Teammates, and the Tradition of the game.
